Teacher Biography
 
Starlet Ferguson is a Certified Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance.  A student of yoga for over 12 years, Starlet received professional training at one of the top yoga studios in the country, under the instruction of Jhon Tamayo  Her approach offers an in depth experience of balancing the mind and body according to each individual, with an emphasis on proper alignment and a focus on the breath.  Building strength and flexibility, while promoting relaxation through pranayama (the breath) and meditation.  
 
Private lessons, buddy lessons and group lessons to students of all ages and levels are tailored to the need and style preference of the individual/group.

The Benefits of Yoga 
Yoga is the best possible exercise there is for improving suppleness.  However, yoga postures are more than physical poses; they work on the mind and spirit, and promote increased awareness, vitality and inner peace.
 
Yoga as we all know it is aimed to unite the mind, the body, and the spirit. Yogis view that the mind and the body are one, and that if it is given the right tools and taken to the right environment, it can find harmony and heal itself. Yoga therefore is considered therapeutic. It helps you become more aware of your body's posture, alignment and patterns of movement.
